Kangana demands ban on Iftar parties
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has demanded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban Iftar parties and other gatherings during Ramadan.
It may be recalled that in the last few days, hundreds of pilgrims participating in the Kumbh Mela in India were diagnosed with the corona virus, after which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to end the festival.
Following Modi’s appeal, Kangana Ranaut tweeted an appeal to the Prime Minister to “ban Iftar parties and other gatherings during Ramadan.”
Kangana Ranaut was severely criticized by social media users on this tweet after which she had to delete her tweet.
It may be recalled that after diagnosing the corona virus among 30 sadhus participating in the Kumbh Mela, Narendra Modi had said, The Prime Minister further added that in view of the current situation in Corona, he had also requested to end the Kumbh Mela and keep it symbolic.
Kangana then tweeted to Narendra Modi requesting that “Ramadan gatherings be banned after making the Kumbh Mela symbolic.”
