Sindh government announces support for Naila Jafri
The Sindh government has announced all financial assistance for the treatment of actress Naila Jaffery.
Sindh Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah, commenting on the actress’ video on Twitter, wrote that the culture department would bear all the expenses of Naila Jafri’s treatment. He also appealed to provide necessary information.
It may be recalled that a video of Naila Jaffery went viral on social media on Saturday in which she could be heard demanding financial help. Naila Jaffery says that she has been suffering from cancer for the last 6 years and no other chemotherapy has been given Is.
“I was hospitalized with an infection to control the infection and one thing I kept thinking about was that our government and policy makers should think about people in the arts,” he said.
“When I joined PTV, we used to get royalties for re-broadcast shows, even though the money was very low, but we were still happy,” she said.
He added: “I’ve been sick for six years, everyone has been with me and helped me, but I wish we had a few percent of the shows that are being replayed today. It could have been easier for people.
