The movie “Nomad Land” won the Oscar
Nomad Land looted the Oscars, the biggest award in the film world. The film won 6 awards at the 93rd Academy Awards.
The winners were announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles, with Chinese-born Chloe Xiao becoming the first Asian woman to win the Best Director award for the film “Nomad Land”.
The film Nomad Land won six awards, including Best Director and Best Actress. Frances McDormand won Best Actress for the film, while Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor for The Father.
Frances McDormand won the Best Actress Oscar for the third time in her career.

Pakistani-born British actor Riz Ahmed’s film “Sound of Metal” also won two awards. Riz was nominated in the Best Actor category for the film but did not win.
The Academy Awards also paid homage to the late Indian actor Irfan Khan and costume designer Bhavanathiya.
